The Lumberjack Battalion conducts Physical Training (PT) as part of their Battalion Operations Rhythm every Monday and Thursday during class. PT generally consists of warm-up exercises, stretching exercises, upper/lower body strengthening and conditioning exercises, cardio workouts and sporting events. All PT events are in accordance with the U.S. Army's PT manual and strive to achieve a balance The actual specific exercises, as part of the categories listed above, are completely planned by the Cadet Company Chain of Command. Thus, Cadets learn a valuable lesson on how to effectively plan, resource and execute a dynamic physical training program. Also, Cadets understand the importance of physical training and how it positively enhances their physical and mental health...PT is good for the body and the mind!
Everyone in the Community needs to take pride in the fact that the Cadets of the Lumberjack Battalion are constantly striving to become "healthier" citizens and leaders in school as well as in the Community. Congratulations to all the Cadets of the Lumberjack Battalion...job well done!
